Instructions For Extending Expired
Egyptian Passport
1. The maximum validity of the Egyptian passport is 7 years
from the date of issuing and it cannot be extended
after that, but a new passport must be issued. Nevertheless,
under certain circumstances, the consulate can extend
the passport two or three more months.
2. The consulate extends only the passport issued for a period less
than 7 years for different reasons such as:
Not declaring the final status of military
service.
Students enrolled at schools or collages.
Upon the request of the Egyptian ministry
of interior affairs for different reasons.
3. No fees are required for extending the expiration date up to 7 years
from date of issue, after that we follow the same procedure
to issue a new passport.
