Adding Wife and Children to Egyptian Passport

A: The Wife
1. The wife must be an Egyptian citizen and must prove her     nationality by any Egyptian document like Egyptian birth     certificate, Egyptian ID or any past and expired passport.
2. They must be married. It is not possible to add a divorced wife     to his passport.
3. The marriage certificate must be declared to the consulate.

A: The Children
1. It is possible to add the children to either their father or their     mother’s passport, but it is not possible to add them to both     passports at the same time.
2. To add the children to their mother’s passport, you have to
    know the following:
    • The father of the children must be Egyptian, otherwise the       children are not Egyptian.
    • The parents must be married. It is not possible to add them to        her passport if she’s divorced from their father.
    • The Egyptian birth certificate must be declared to the       consulate.
    • A written approval, declared to the consulate, from the father       to add his children to their mother’s passport either signed by       him in the consulate or by Notary Public.
