Term Project
(Due July 19, 2007)
Consider the three alternatives for long term summer vacation planning:
Buying a summer house (cottage).
Buying a timeshare plan
Renting what you need at the time you need it.
You may replace any of the options above with a suitable one of your choice after I approve it. Compare these alternatives using suitable criteria of your own design, and based on real cost estimates. Things to consider may include (but are not limited to):
Family size
Various locations
Various seasons (you may elect to consider vacationing in general)
Planning horizon (at least 20 years)
Salvage values
Inflation rates
Prevalent interest rates (consider changes over time)
Financing options
